    It is with great pride that I serve the community as the Superintendent of Schools with the Southern York County School District. Southern is a special place that I have called home for more than 20 years. The staff, parents, and community at large are all focused on providing our students the best possible education possible. We strive to ensure that every child will graduate from the Southern York County School District with the 21st century skills necessary to be successful in a continuously changing world. I want to thank the staff, parents, school board, and community for making this a special district that always keeps the students' interests as the priority.

    Dr. Bryson's Background:

    Dr. Bryson received his Bachelor degree from Penn State University, his Master's degree from Penn State University, and his Doctorate from Immaculata University. Dr. Bryson has more than 20 years in education.  During this time, he served as a math and computer teacher at Southern Middle School, Athletic Director and Assistant Principal at Susquehannock High School, Principal at Susquehannock High School, Assistant Superintendent, and is currently Superintendent.

    Superintendent Survey Presentation - August 2022:

     At the August 18, 2022 meeting of Southern York County School Board Directors, Dr. Bryson presented the results of the Superintendent Search Survey as well as the results of interviews he conducted with staff and parents.  The presentation can be viewed here.
