Counselor Chat Event

Do you have a student that is new to Susquehannock High School this year? Then join us on Wednesday, September 8th 2021 for a Counselor Chat Event in the Library. To start the 2021-2022 school year, the SHS School Counselors will host an evening program for parents to help address many common concerns for students that are starting high school. This program will consist of informal questions and answers from parents to counselors to better understand how our department can support you and your student(s).

Likely conversation points or topics include personal and social adjustment to high school, achieving lasting academic success, and preparing for career & college opportunities after high school. There will be plenty of time for further discussion and questions. All parents of new students are welcome to attend this event which is scheduled for about an hour and a half.

This evening program is designed to not only provide parents with information and resources, but to help parents develop a support network. The SHS Counselors recognize that many parents have similar questions regarding how to navigate through their student’s secondary school years and our program may be a great venue to acknowledge and address common experiences.

As always, SHS is proud to partner with many colleges to offer visits from admissions representatives to provide our students valuable information about different schools. We are resuming in-person visits this school year, but will also be conducting virtual visits as well.

Students can sign up on Naviance for these visits. For a list of colleges that are scheduled to visit and when please click here.
