SYCSD Curriculum

  • The Southern York County School District, through a cooperative effort with the family and community, will provide a quality learning environment that promotes character, fosters responsibility and challenges students to achieve their potential.

We are committed to make sure that each and every student who walks across the Susquehannock High School graduation stage will be successful in post secondary endeavors including college, career or military service.

“Southern is a place where students can learn and grow, and feel supported and loved.  It truly is a family here at Southern.”  – Alyson Fair, Class of 2014

It is extremely important to us that all learning that takes place in our classrooms is structured with a curriculum that promotes the academic growth of all students.

We are committed to ensuring a nurturing environment where all students are given the opportunity to succeed and reach their potential.  In this endeavor, curriculum is written and revised to challenge our students using rigorous 21st century learning practices.  Our curriculum is created through a collaborative effort between teachers and administration in order to provide the foundation for students to be successful in post secondary endeavors including college, career, or military service.
