2013:

  • Warrior Band Boosters
    This organization has been a long-time and faithful sponsor of music scholarships through the Foundation’s partnership program. Most recently, it completed a project in cooperation with the SHS Alumni Association to create a permanent endowment in honor of former band director Karl Steger. This endeavor was the first of its kind and now serves as a model for other organizations to follow. 

    Saubel's Markets
    This area business has been a consistent supporter of Foundation activities as a sponsor, and direct participant through its leadership team. It is a direct sponsor of a named, multi-year scholarship that has been awarded annually since 2004. As a prominent area business, Saubel's Markets has served as a leader for others in the community.

    Dr. Kirk Dise
    As a student, Dr. Dise was inspired by his Susquehannock science teacher, Ron Leese.  Dr. Dise attributed much of his success to Mr. Leese and, looking for a way to honor his former mentor, funded an annual scholarship in his honor.  As the Foundation works to make the scholarship permanent through endowment funding, Dr. Dise maintains his annual commitment. The permanent endowment that will be created through his support will serve generations.
     
    Mr. Dale Keagy
    Through Mr. Dale Keagy’s leadership and commitment, the SYCSD Foundation grew as a vital and positive part of the Southern York County School District.  It was Mr. Keagy’s vision and hard work that led to the Foundation’s unique, multi-faceted nature.  Mr. Keagy served as Executive Director for many years, during which time the Foundation’s current operating framework was cultivated.
