2014: Mike Cline

  • For the past 30 years, Mike Cline has served as part of the Warriors’ chain crew for home varsity football games, moving chains with every down. In 1984, when his son Mike Jr. was a senior at Susquehannock, Cline began volunteering on the chain gang during the home football games. He continued to work on the crew and followed his second son, John ‘93, who also played Warrior football. Cline’s wife Judy was a member of the Susquehannock class of 1963.

“Even after my sons graduated, I kept volunteering as a way of giving back for all the great experiences they had and all of the fun I had following them in football,” Cline said. “I hope all of the people who have come (to watch their sons play football) since have had as much fun as I had.”

The Alumni Association Steering Committee chose Cline for his years of dedication and volunteer work to the high school football program.
