    Dear Southern Family,

Thank you all for your willingness to help others during these difficult times.  We appreciate the outpouring of offers to assist those in need. At this time, you can help most directly by supporting our local food pantries through financial donations to replenish their shelves (not accepting food donations currently) and by volunteering to pack/help with curbside distributions/deliver food to families and others who are unable to access the pantries directly.

Below is a list of local food pantries which may be in need of support.

Southern Community Services/YMCA - call to volunteer at 717-235-0446, ext. 408.  Donations may be made on the YMCA website and designated for Southern Community Services or mailed to:  SCS/Southern Branch YMCA 100 Constitution Avenue, Shrewsbury, PA 17361

York County Food Bank - Sign up to volunteer to pack food boxes or help with distribution on their website at https://yorkfoodbank.org/volunteer/

The York County Food Bank is in great need of volunteers, as their distributions have doubled over the last two weeks and volunteers have decreased.

Thank you once again for being so generous and supportive of these organizations which are working diligently to meet the needs of our community!

    Sincerely,

    Your SYCSD Family
