Kenneth J. Alwine Family
Mr. Ken Alwine taught at Susquehannock High School for 33 years.  Education wasn't his job, it was his life, and he had a full life.  In addition to teaching, Mr. Alwine spent 24 years as a football and track and field coach. He touched so many young lives throughout his tenure.  Ken was also an avid outdoorsman. The Alwine family recently established an endowed scholarship – the Kenneth J. Alwine Memorial Scholarship.

John and Berit Gantz
In his 22 years, Matthew J. Gantz became an avid traveler, journeying to such destinations as Mexico, France, Germany, and the western United States.  His parents, John and Berit Gantz, wanted to preserve Matthew’s memory by establishing the Matthew Gantz Memorial Award to help a Susquehannock High School student with expenses related to educational travel.  John and Berit Gantz have funded this beneficial program since 2006, which has assisted nine different students travel to countries, such as France, Germany, Peru, and Australia.

Betsy Stover Granger
Betsy Stover Granger recently endowed a scholarship in memory of her mother, Deloras “Becky” Stover, who was a long-time elementary teacher for the Southern York County School District.  Mrs. Stover taught 2nd grade for 24 years at the Glen Rock Elementary School and for 16 years at Southern Elementary School. She was an excellent teacher and beloved by her former students. In addition, Betsy has been a major contributor to the Susquehannock Alumni Field House project.

Larry J. Miller
Mr. Larry Miller has been a long-time director and treasurer of the Foundation.  In addition to his dedicated service to the Foundation, Larry has contributed significant personal funds and spearheaded an extraordinary amount of funding through PeoplesBank.  In addition to this award, the Foundation recently named an annual scholarship the Larry J. Miller Distinguished Service Scholarship.

Dr. Nancy O’Neill
Dr. Nancy O’Neill has practiced the specialty of Orthodontics in Southern York County since 2001.  Beginning in 2006, this popular local orthodontist has offered the O’Neill Orthodontics Health Science Scholarship to a senior interested in pursuing a career in health education.
