SHS Choir Ensemble Performs Music Written by Sophomore Elizabeth Engle
Elizabeth Engle, a sophomore, and member of the choir at Susquehannock High School, recently wrote a piece of music titled “Flowers of Greed.” Director Jay Althouse and other members of the choir loved the song and decided it should be added to the ensemble’s repertoire for their concert which took place on May 10.

Southern Middle School Student Receives Carson Scholarship
Tristan Rankin, an eighth grader at Southern Middle School, was recently named a Carson Scholar and awarded a college scholarship. The Carson Scholar Fund awards college scholarships to students in grades 4-11 who excel academically and are dedicated to serving their communities.

Spring Together Nights-Second Session!
The second Spring Together Night at Shrewsbury Elementary will be held on April 26, beginning at 7:00 p.m. Our speaker will be 2003 Susquehannock Alum, Alpana Chhibber. She is a facilitator for diversity and equity and will lead our session, How to Speak to Your Children About Race.

SAT testing was originally scheduled for Saturday, March 12, 2022. It has been rescheduled for Saturday, March 26, 2022. College Board will be sending more details as soon as they are available.

Susquehannock High School sophomore Lilly Wojcik has been selected for the 2022 Woman’s U16 USA National Field Hockey Team. The U16 team is made up of athletes born in 2007 and 2006.

Susquehannock High School Students’ Artwork Selected for Finalist Exhibition
Students from Susquehannock High School’s Art Program entered their work in the York Community Art Scholars Exhibition (YCASE). Several of the students have had their work selected to move on to the finalist exhibition. There were a total of 394 pieces of artwork entered from schools across the country.

Parking for the February 17 School Board Meeting
PLEASE NOTE: Due to construction on campus, the main parking lot behind the high school is no longer available. Please park in the lower lot of the middle school to attend the school board meeting. From the lower parking lot, please walk to the stadium side of the high school and use the main office entrance. It is the entrance with “Susquehannock High School” above the doors. The parking lot and walking path are shown on the map below.

Presentation Regarding Warrior Logo and Rebranding
On January 20, Susquehannock High School students updated the school board with a proposed Warrior rebranding that started last year. Students from the marketing and electronic arts classes focused on establishing a cohesive brand across an educational setting as well as an athletic setting.
