Jessie McDonough Visits Students Conducting Experiments in Mobile Science Lab
CBS 21 reporter, Jessie McDonough, recently visited Shrewsbury Elementary School where students conducted experiments in a mobile agricultural science lab.
The Ag Mobile, also known as the Mobile Agricultural Education Science Lab, is part of the Pennsylvania Friends of Agriculture Foundation, a division of the Pennsylvania Farm Bureau (PFB). The lab creates an opportunity for students to learn about agriculture in a fun and hands-on way.
“We love having the Mobile Ag Lab at Shrewsbury! It promotes critical thinking and problem solving skills with our students by using a hands-on learning experience centered on important agricultural themes specific to Pennsylvania,” Shrewsbury Elementary Teacher Rebecca Rohrbaugh said.
The Mobile Agriculture Education Science Lab is a 40-foot trailer, equipped with all of the materials and supplies needed for students to conduct the hands-on experiments. A certified teacher travels with the Ag Lab to conduct experiments with the students.
