Amy Furman, a 2006 graduate of Susquehannock High School, is the recipient of the 2021 Susquehannock High School Distinguished Alumni Award. She is currently the Director of Break Through Tech New York. This is a partnership launched in 2016 with Cornell Tech, the City University of New York (CUNY), and industry partners. Break Through Tech New York works at the intersection of academia and industry to propel more women into higher education and careers in tech.

The selection is made by the Alumni Association and is awarded each year. The recipient earns a handsome plaque, is given the opportunity to address the graduating class at commencement, and is celebrated with a photograph and an accompanying description of achievements in the High School lobby.
