Elementary Students Participate in Give from the Heart Program

Greetings, Southern Family!

Southern York County District was pleased to partner with the New Freedom Lions Club again this year to offer fourth-grade students the opportunity to participate in the Give from the Heart program. As part of the program, students researched local nonprofits to learn more about the organizations’ missions, and every fourth grade class at the district’s three elementary schools and the Digital Academy selected one non-profit organization to receive a $100 donation from the New Freedom Lions Club. This year’s recipients included the American Heart Association, Animal Rescue, Inc., Bell Socialization Services, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Heavenly Paws Animal Shelter, Leg Up Farm, Relay for Life of York, SPCA York County, and York County Food Bank.
