The second Spring Together Night at Shrewsbury Elementary will be held on April 26, beginning at 7:00 p.m.
Our speaker will be 2003 Susquehannock Alum, Alpana Chhibber. She is a facilitator for diversity and equity and will lead our session, How to Speak to Your Children About Race.
Alpana Chhibber currently serves as the Middle School Dean of Students at the Park School of Baltimore. In her role as Dean, Alpana has brought student self-advocacy to the forefront by empowering her Student Government to make real change for middle schoolers and has brought systemic change to the way discipline is handled in the middle school. Through the use of Restorative Processes, Alpana brings the middle school community together to build authentic bonds with one another.
Please keep in mind that this will be an adult conversation and will be for high school students and adults. Middle school children may attend with parents or guardians. For children of elementary age and younger, there will be child care available.
We hope that all families are able to join us, as we embrace the value of every member of our Warrior family!
