Dear Southern Community,

With a heavy heart, I share news of the passing of Mr. Ronald Groncki, a beloved member of our community, on December 20, 2024. As we mourn his loss, we reflect on his positive impact on our school district and the broader community.

Mr. Groncki dedicated his time and passion to the Southern York County School District, serving on the district’s board of directors from 2007 to 2021. He sat on the Lincoln Intermediate Authority and was chair of Athletics and Extracurriculars for some of his tenure. He served alongside his wife, Jerri Groncki, who served on the school board for more than 25 years until her passing in January 2020.

Our thoughts and condolences go out to his family and friends. Mr. Groncki’s presence will be missed, but his legacy of service to our district will be long remembered.
